Request for Volunteer Help

Guidelines for requesting volunteer support:

The request will be placed in the church bulletin the first week of the month that you need the help, please allow 3 weeks for the first request in the bulletin, follow up with a second request if you do not get the help you requested.
The request forms will be in the church office, or can be obtained on the HPC website and then emailed to the church Secretary.
Be specific in your request, state the task, the length of time you want the help, the date, the location, who will be leading the task, who to contact in case of last minute details are needed.
Be prepared to perform the task, do not be late, and do not expect the volunteer to lead the task unless it was pre arranged.
Be organized, be on time or early, do not waste time trying to get organized at the time of performing the task. Remember the person is volunteering their time and you may not get their help again if they do not have a positive experience in helping YOU perform YOUR task.
Have all tools necessary to perform the task ready, or have the volunteer bring tools, state this ahead of time.
Pick up the form from the box in the church office each Sunday after the Fellowship hour is over.
Contact all volunteers immediately, even if it is just to inform them that you have filled your need for volunteers. A major complaint has been that nobody ever contacts the time and talent volunteers to enlist them in the task, let this not happen in this effort.
