The Music Ministry of Harundale Presbyterian Church provides opportunities for all ages to participate musically in the life of this congregation. We praise and worship God through all types of music. Our music ministry consists of a Director of Music/Organist, Music Assistant/Intergenerational Choir Director, Children’s Choir Director, 6 vocal choirs, a bell choir, a bell ensemble, and the band. The talents of these people are many and varied and we try to utilize them in every way possible. Here is a brief look at each group:

Chancel Choir
Men's Chorus and Women's Chorus
Celebration Bell Choir
Praise Singers
Choralier Choir
Cherub Choir
Church Belles
Band

Chancel Choir - This choir is made up of adults who enjoy singing and praising the Lord with their music. They meet once a week for rehearsal and lead worship every Sunday morning. They have also participated in performing large works with orchestral accompaniment, have sung with the Presbytery Choir at the Myerhoff Symphony Hall in Baltimore and for the Presbyterian General Assembly Meeting, and were part of the choir for the Billy Graham Crusade here in Baltimore.

Men's Chorus and Women's Chorus - These two choruses are made up of men and women from the Chancel Choir. They have performed for various dinners and have participated in worship with special anthems.  Both choruses provided special music for our 50th Anniversary Banquet and the Women’s Chorus has sung for the Presbytery’s Presbyterian Women’s Meeting.

Celebration Bell Choir - Most of these people have been ringing handbells for a number of years. Quite a few of them have been in this choir since it started in 1979. They have participated in worship many times and have also played in many bell festivals, weddings, nursing homes, meetings and many other functions.  They also took part in playing for the Ecumenical Worship Service for the Presbyterian General Assembly when it met here it Baltimore.

Praise Singers – This is our newest choir and it is made up of people who range in age from 12 to 70 and enjoy singing praise music.  They meet once a week for rehearsal and sing four or five times a year in worship.  They also help lead the congregation when we sing praise songs instead of a traditional hymn.  This choir has also performed for the Presbytery’s Presbyterian Women’s meeting.

Choralier Choir - This choir includes children from grades 1-5. They participate 4 or 5 times in worship and on Christmas Eve at our family service. At least once a year they do a musical for either the Christmas season or for Mother's Day. They have also sung for many dinners and for the Mother's Day Breakfast.  The Choraliers are always a big part of our Christmas Family Night celebration.

Cherub Choir - these children range in age from 3-5. They sing about 4 times in worship and on Christmas Eve at our family service and for Christmas Family Night.

Church Belles - This is our bell ensemble that consists of 3 or 4 people who enjoy the challenge of playing 6 or 7 bells or just up and down the scale. They participate in worship about 3 times a year. They have put together a program for the Music Teachers Association and have played for a wedding and a birthday party.

Band - This group is made up of individuals who play either a brass or woodwind instrument and like to play for the enjoyment of making music. Their biggest contribution comes at Christmas time when they help lead the program for our annual Christmas Family Night. At other times, they participate in worship by playing as an ensemble or accompanying hymns.
